Proof that you don't need to go outside the city to get some wildlife photos.

Although AF would definitely tend to help - this took about 35 minutes of sitting very still, offering up acorns, to get.

Something along the lines of:

'Yo bro, got any acorns for me?'

Ha I have had an experience like this only mine was weird. Ok I was in college at the time and I was sitting out side eating and a squirrel came up to me so I feed it some snikers I mean this thing was with in arms reach it was one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me. I call him the fearless squirrel and I really wish I would have had a camera at the time. But any way great photo and thanks you made me remember something that was pretty cool.

Glad I could bring back such a good memory! Another instance of experience showing that the best camera is the one you have with you.

Squirrels are pretty fearless once they establish that you're not a threat to them. I could've sworn that this one started following me around. He even seemed to clock which pocket I had the acorns in, as he kept skulking his way around to that side of me. I'm sure if I'd hung around long enough he would've been diving in there to retrieve them himself.

Every time I see a squirrel image I think of the kid's movie "Up" and the dog who would yell out squirrel and stop dead in his tracks for a split second. I was photographing at one of the Florida springs and two young squirrels were chasing each other quite near me. All of sudden one runs up my tripod and onto my arm. I screamed "squirrel" too.

Did you get a model release form signed?
I don't know why, but I just want to call this pseudo-deer in headlight look.
Glad your patience paid off.

I'm surprised Rupert hadn't responded earlier. He would have loved the photo, but would have told you they like peanuts better than acorns
