Trip to Prague...
Camera: K30 Photo Location: Czech Republic
Posted By: ivrabec985, 02-18-2014, 11:56 AM

Hello.
Last week I was on a vacation in Prague and it was great. I really enjoyed Prague.
First we went to Telč and after that we were 3 days in Prague. After that when we were returning to Croatia we stopped in Českę Krumlov and it was just beautiful
I only regret a little because I didn't carry my tripod for night shots but when I think about it was holiday and if I had carried it all around it wouldn't be a vacation
So here are the photos and I hope you don't mind that I'm posting so many of them.

(lenses: DA15, DA35 macro, DA70, K135 2.5)

Telč

Prague

Českę Krumlov

What a beautiful city Prague is. You have a wonderful eye too. Some of the statues are so interesting. Is there a story about #10 and 11? I enjoyed the third one from the end too. The lighting was so nice. Thanks for taking me along on your vacation.

Original Poster
#10 is Man Hanging Out
"This unique sculpture in Old Town Prague depicts psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud hanging by a hand and pondering whether to hold on or let go. It is an unexpected and eye-catching-if not disturbing-image in an otherwise sublime urban area."

#11 is Žižkov Television Tower
"In 2000, sculptures by Czech artist David Černę of babies crawling up and down were temporarily attached to the tower's pillars. The sculptures were admired by many and were returned in 2001 as a permanent installation."

An interesting city with a mix of old and new architecture side by side.

Wow, so many great photos!! I was originally going to list all of the photos I liked the best, but then I realised they were all the best, and all really great. Love the variety of perspectives and different types of shots - you've captured your trip well and should be proud of those great shots

Very well done! Your photos of Prague and Cseky Krumlov reminded me of our visit to both places in 2012. The light in Prague is wonderful, only rivalled by Venice, in my opinion, and Cseky Krumlov is a photographer's delight. Did you visit the Jan Saudek gallery? Risqué, but marvellous work. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful images.

Those I know who have travelled widely consider Prague the most beautiful city in Europe.
