Rainbow Castle

I wanted to share this one. ISO was actually 5000, and the rainbow starbursts are due to a crosshatch filter. Its a castle on top of the main hill in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia.

Not a fan of starbursts, although sometimes they are done very well. In this case I think the big one is just too big and dominates the image too much. Did you take any of the castle without this filter?

Interesting filter. I had never heard of that one. I am wondering why the high ISO; was it hand held? The burst is almost the same size as the clock so it kind of balances the image though I feel my eye drawn to both and can't decide where to look.

Thanks for the comments!
Yes, I was thinking the large burst fills that negative space. The photo was handheld at night, I am not sure about the aperture, but it was nearly wide open.
I live in this city so the castle seems "usual" to me - that is why I try to spice it up.

Candid Castle

Its also visible in this photo, in the centre: 500px / December Ljubljana by Stolpulus II
I don't think I have any classic landscape style photos of it

Not so sure about these filters, it's not something I add to my images, but the World would a pretty boring place if we were all the same.

Interesting photos - the first one looks quite sharp for ISO 5000 - at least at this magnification!

I think that since the colours of the first photo are so unnatural to begin with, it might as well have the rainbow crosshatch
Thanks for the replies everybody, appreciate it!

I think the original photo is kinda fun, in a gaudy 70's throwback way.
