Some flower pics
Lens: 18-135mm DA Camera: K-30
Posted By: ausmoose, 02-21-2014, 12:17 AM

I'm no eaglem, but here's my most recent attempts at closeup/macro flower photography..

Frangipanis (forgot the water sprayer )

Pink Bromeliad

I was really impressed with the sharpness on that photo, here's a crop at 100%

C&C would be appreciated, thanks!

Pentax DA 18-135mm lens. My only lens until my manual ones I recently bought arrive in the mail. It's a very great lens

Nice, but if you want to get close to EM, you will need a handy spray bottle :-)

I like the frangipani. But then again, I've always thought bromeliads were kind of ugly.

lovely colors in the first photo especially, a true macro lens will also be a benefit in the close up world.

Yeah, and a true macro lens is also quite expensive. There is a certain ebay listing I'm eyeing at the moment so I'll see Hopefully!

It's a compliment! I promise! I just don't like those big, spiky bromeliads. I don't think a water mister would help them either...

this is a pretty cool lens add on, costs about $75 on Amazon. I've only used mine a couple of times, but impressed with the results.
