These shots always look like they should be fairly easy to pull off but I think they are extremely difficult but you sure pulled this one off. I love it.

Thanks, everyone! I had time to waste while waiting for Best Buy to open, so I decided to walk around with my K-3 and Cosina 55 1.2. Eventually, I came back to my car, and I disturbed these small birds in a short tree close by... but they came back. I did some quick test shots from my car seat, and found that the Cosina had terrible PF in the bright overcast sky, until f5.6. After bumping the ISO for speed and pre-focusing on the birds, I didn't have long to wait 'til something else made them fly away- gotcha. So it was really a lucky parking spot that allowed the shot. Also, it looked a little drab until tweaked in LR5.

I really like the almost monochromatic feel of this image, very well captured indeed, sharp too.
