In the first image, that beast looks like it's crying.

Super sharp series, well done.

Thank y'all!

Considering that you're bouncing around in a truck that only does rolling pauses & absolutely no stops unless a critter decides to stand in the middle of the "road", it's a miracle that I've gotten any of these. Through the last few years, I've gotten lots and lots of pictures but only really a handful that are nice.

Nice captures.
That first image looks like it is of a Cape Eland (Taurotragus oryx), which is native to the province in South Africa I hale from. The Eland is the heaviest of the land antelope in Africa.

It is indeed.

The history of Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom is quite interesting. Initially, Walt wanted to use real animals in the Jungle Cruise. He wasn't able to, so they used animatronics instead. It's nice to see one of Walt's original desires come to fruition.

These guys can live most of their lives with no water at all. They get the majority of their fluid intake from the vegetation they eat.

I forgot what they're called though.
