My first encounter with a red-tailed hawk. I see them once in a blue moon so far off in the distance that even at 250mm, they look like a speck of dirt. Not this time

Quite incredible when you can get a wild one that close and you took advantage of it so well, I love it when the eyes are that sharp.

Those are indeed awesome. Like you, I see them only at very great distances when I do get the chance to see them.
