Ordinary things

Just some things that captured my interest on my latest walk. Some taken with the Q + 01, and others with the K-30 + 55-300 WR.

Seed pod from Cucumber Magnolia (Magnolia accuminata). I'm surprised it made it through the winter without being eaten.

Thanks j2. Unfortunately, yesterday's 70F day is going to be followed by another smackdown from the recycling polar vortex over the next week. At least the Arctic weather is a little less intense with each revisit.

Interesting series of shots and it always seems nature finds a way.

Thanks. Indeed it does. One of many reasons I love the woods so much.

I was talking to my mom yesterday and she did mention it was very warm and also mentioned the arctic front was coming back next week.

I might have to pull my winter gear back out for my next hike.

A great eye for detail, and some fine shots despite the difficult lighting!

Great diversity for a set of ordinary scenes and objects. Also inspires one to go out and shoot a few photos - once all the local snow disappears (hopefully by July).
