Deer Pair
Lens: Rokinon 85mm F1.4 Camera: K-01 Photo Location: Michigan ISO: 6400 Shutter Speed: 1/15s Aperture: F2.4

Deer pair. I guess the one deer liked it so much she brought a friend back. Wow, hard to focus in the dark @ ISO6400, plus snowing. Really should set up a tripod but it might not help much since the deer are constantly moving. This time I tried out the Rokinon 85. Focus on the head of the deer on the right.

Next night, more showed up:

They didn't try to take off immediately? I would have figured they would scram when someone came out.

You're right. Years back there has been as many as 40 out there.

Out in the garage. I shot this through a window so I was pretty close, but not close enough to be totally outside

Your patience has been rewarded. I know how frustrating animals can be. I mean, did the one the left have to get half its head behind a tree? But as you said they are constantly moving. I have shots which I thought would be great and when I get to check them I find an ear at an odd angle or a tongue hanging out. But occasionally - just occasionally - I get an unexpected great shot (unfortunately it is usually when I have my 'glovebox' Fujifilm 1800s in my hand and not the K-01 or K10D) . I look forward to seeing continued progress.

Those look to be really well fed deer. If you feed them they will come. Keep trying.
