Thanks for looking. I liked the potential of this image so I took it through Photomatix for a mild HDR which gave it the painterly effect. I didn't like the original sky though - too boring. So I masked in a more interesting sky and dodged the white at the head of the path. Here's something very close to the original, I think maybe the embedded jpg. The original RAW is buried somewhere on my disk. U have to leave now but you have me curious, so I'll find the original RAW tonight and post here if it's any different.

Wow, I am really flattered to hear two great photographers say that! I don't know if a show is ever in my future, or how you would ever even begin to put one on and where…. but a cool dream. Thanks so much!

Thanks John! I'm a big fan of enhancement and manipulation, but I agree with you that if not done very well it can really bomb, and badly. (I have to cringe when looking at some early jobs of mine from when I was just starting out - I have deleted lots of shots that I had assigned 5 stars to!)
