The Best Advertising?

Street shooting is really fun when you encounter an unexpected event: Like yesterday, for example.
1) Hey, why are those girls only wearing skimpy shorts? It's 40 degrees out! Who are they talking to?
2) Oh, to that other lady upstairs. Who's she waving to?
3) Oh, another one! Must be a club or something...wait! There's more!
4) Let's move over here, wait for the shuttle to go by. Wow! A whole bunch of them!
OK, so I'm a sucker for tight Tee's and those shorts. Shoot me.
K-5, DA 35mmf/2.4@ f/4.0, 1/100s, ISO 200.
P.S. It was a new bar opening. Everyone was very friendly.
Ron

Thanks!

Thanks, Albert, it was one of those chance encounters, things you don't plan on. All I had was the 35mm, so ending up using it as a telephoto (first shot, about 75% crop) and normal length.
That new bar has a tough market to work into, there's many sports, rock n' roll, microbrew and ethnic 'pubs' around downtown.
But it was an eye-catching opening!

Glad you explained what was going on, as normally ladies dressed similar to those in windows have a different connotation, so I'm told.

If you heard it in this forum it could only have come from any of the mods, because they are always giving good advice.

The drinks must be some kind of expensive in that place to pay for all the help. I'd look for a place down the street.

Tees + Shorts?

Thanks to everyone for their comments; Julie and Susan- I don't know why the photos aren't loading, I think they're resized properly. Norm, hopefully the drink prices don't reflect the cost of several 'cheerleaders' (or whatever they're called) waving and jumping around. I'm pretty sure it was a one-time promotion.
There are other pubs that have a 'Hooters' style attraction, huge-screens tuned to sports, pool tables, micro beers, pizza and skimpy uniforms. I guess the rules for this kind of behavior are different everywhere! The window shot does remind me of some old 'Red Light' district photos, though.
FWIW, there's a 'Tilted Kilt' pub further down the Mall and I believe many here have seen the recent posting on Photo Critique showing those particular outfits and less. The Kilt has some outside (sidewalk) seating and their waitstaff draw a bit of attention also.
So, when the weather warms up a bit, maybe another stroll down the mall, with 3 lenses instead of one.
Just sayin',
Ron

They do remind me of a funny story though. A particularly well endowed 17 year old student asked me what I thought she could do for work while she put herself through university. I suggested a couple occupations, she said, 'No sir, that's not everyone else says, they all say Hooters.". I said "Obviously none of those who qualify as "everyone" are High School teachers that want to keep their jobs."

It's cos you've got the a "girly insensitive" filter on, as only the ladies that can't see 'em, all the guys (men) are seeing them just fine...
