Below Zero - Waiting for the flood

Hi Folks
The terrible winter weather and length of the cold has been keeping us close to home. Just purchased the Sigma 18-250 and these are my first shots with it. The shots are of one of the first Hydro Dams along the Wisconsin River is waiting for the thaw and the severe spring flooding which will follow. I predict the water levels this year because of all of our snow and the high amounts of snow in the Northern part of the state will bring the water levels to the top of the pillars on the building portion and may be across the road of which I am standing. I fear water levels will rise 15 feet this spring, and of course more if we get rain along with the thaw.
This is the first winter I have not been out in the woods or out for months. I feel just terrible about those living in the East portion of the USA and everyone else this weather has been hurting.

We are planning on spending some time in the dells on our way west this summer. I'm hoping you don't get any rain this spring either. Have been watching a Nat Geo special on the Mississippi River and flooding that was filmed in 2010 I believe. Beautifully devastating to say the least.

Wow, you really captured the cold, especially with the 1st and last. Good work with your new lens. Let's hope the melt is slow.
