Spiderweb at night

Not really your typical night photos - hope this is the right place to post these - but they were taken at night.

Very nice. One thing to note is whether you are shooting face on or at an angle. In the first shot you are at an angle, so you need a smaller aperture to keep more of the web in focus. Because the rest of the background is so dark, you can get away with stopping down within the limits of the lighting. For the other shots where you are face on to the web, I'm not sure what aperture you used, but I'd make sure it was wide open if possible in order to blur out the rest of the background. Just some thoughts if you want to try this again.

Thanks MSL. I did like the bokeh and blurring in the web, but agree that a smaller aperture probably would have been better. And it was quite a wide open aperture already for the others - I didn't want the background to look too bright.
