I don't do a lot of Black and White, but here is one that I think turned out pretty good. This is the front of the Pantheon in Paris. It was taken on a trip to Europe that I took a couple of years ago. I have been going over a lot of these pictures again lately because I have been posting them to Flickr, and this is one that I worked on some recently.

Nice PP and I like the perspective. You captured a lot of detail.

Lovely shot. I like how you show only the parts that look as if they were made only a few years ago. Nice processing, too.

Thank you! If I remember correctly, I was trying to capture the detail in the ceiling with the columns leading your eye in that direction.

Good job on capturing all the detail in this one. I think B&W was a good choice for this image.

Some fine detail in there, B&W really works well for this type of image and this is no exception, well done.

Thank you. I am trying to start to recognize where B&W can be used effectively. When I first started, I just always leaned toward color, but I think I am starting to get a better feel for B&W.

I always look at the scene and decide if it's moody, it will translate to B&W beautifully.

But shoot it in raw and have the best of worlds, in case it's a non runner in B&W after all.
