The forest in black and white

Just a few I took trying to turn the high contrast winter forest into a high contrast black and white image, one isn't a true black and white.

Dark and foreboding - I love 'em, Norm, especially 4, 5 and 6. Good stuff, indeed.

Nice series Norm. The 6th one is my favorite. It is compelling in its simplicity with the waves of black and white and the shadows in the foreground.

Black and white processing is a snap. No colour balance etc. Set the slider bars for the histogram in levels and adjust your contrast... done.
