Mangrove Pitta

My 1st time shooting this friendly bird, adding to my collection.

Wonderful images of a very beautiful little bird! I had never seen an image of this one before. Well done!

Ken, stunning as usual...and apologies that I don't get to liking more of you photo's. They all deserve likes almost as a rule...

A real beauty of a bird. Very similar colors to Angola Pitta which was the cover plate on my original much used Newman's Birds of South Africa. But I've never seen a real one.

If you don't mind me asking, but I see you are shooting with the DA*300 on this, and the Sigma 500/4.5 on many othern. How do you choose between these 2, and which do you rate higher ito sharpness and IQ (ignoring the obvious long reach of the Sigma)?

Thanks for liking my photos.
Both the DA*300 and the Sigma 500/F4.5 are almost equally sharp to me,I like the colors rendered by DA*300 slightly more.
