A street shot with the "Good Lady" that leaves me wondering about the conversation going on here.

I doubt that it is style. But then again they do seem to fit in with the rest of the shop. Eclectic

Maybe the convo goes like this: "....And so I tried to explain why it would take more than an hr to dust this shop...., and to make my day worse I grabbed the wrong coat..."

"No, I told you, It's eye of Newt".

You should have saved this one for the caption contest. Be careful taking shots of these folks, or you might be hopping away on your amphibian legs.

Regards

I think that's where you can get a good deal on Love Potion Number 9. Great street shot, buddy.

The lady on the left is complaining about a missing light bulb, obviously.

Thanks very much, these folk were all so busy that they never even saw me and my "Good Lady" and trust me I was pretty close.

If I decide to try some street photography or people shots, what lens should I go for? The last time I did that one guy thought I was a reporter and I had the 55-300 on the camera because I was shooting something far away and not intending on photographing people that day. But still obviously I am not prepared for people pics the smallest lens I have (besides the macro) is the Pentax 18-55 WR.

There's no real right or wrong lens. A lot depends on what kind of working distance to your subject your comfortable with. A while back I'd use a 135, then I went down to 50 and nowadays I'm using 15 or 20 mm for street work.

Your Pentax 18-55 WR would be my choice to use, it's small light weight, the other lens you mention is IMHO way to big and heavy for the streets and as you've already found out attracts too much attention.

That having been said, the other two can hardly be described as trend setters of the fashion world either.
