Pentax P3n with walking stick
Lens: Quantaray 100-300 Camera: Pentax K-30 Photo Location: Grand Coulee, WA ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/2000s Aperture: F4.5

My P3n film cam, I bought it because it came with a lens I wanted, I think it was the Osawa 35mm-105mm Macro.
It is currently loaded with ISO 400 B/W and it is for sale, (cheap), as soon as I get through this roll.
I also have the P30t, which I prefer, and will be keeping.

(if you noticed my walking stick is actually a spear, hey! Yep I also carry a sword a lot!
I am about to fit a 1/4 - 20 lag/stud into the bottom of the spear, for use as a monopod, I'll use a screw cap when it's not holding my camera.)

I will be really honest here. No, not really. I never have a sense of security. I think that those who feel safe are more likely to be victims if a predator comes near.
I do wildlife photos, I served in the military, I have done security work, and law enforcement, I hunt for food when needed.
I understand how the prey/predator paradigm works, without any disillusion from the nature channel on TV.

I often carry a pistol. These are weapons, yes, but I consider the sword, the spear, the firearm, as tools, subordinate to my intelligence and awareness.
If I were in the wild, and got attacked by a bear, or cat, assuming I survived the attack, I am likely severely injured and have needs for survival, shelter, crutches, firewood, etc. etc. I would prefer to have a sharp heavy blade as a tool than a firearm, without ammunition.
It's all about understanding the reality of how life really works, and owning tools and skills to succeed.
