Centenary of Military Aviation
Lens: DA55-300 / Sigma 17-70 Camera: K30 Photo Location: Point Cook

The RAAF hosted an air show the weekend before last to celebrate the "Centenary of Military Aviation" here in Australia. The Bristol Box Kite first Australian Military Aviation flight took place here at Point Cook Air Base. A replica of the box kite has been built here at the Air Museum and was flying in the show, unfortunately due to a bit of a kerfuffle with ticketing & parking I was a little late getting in and missed the flight I've been a bit busy and haven't had the time to edit the shots in a timely fashion as some shots needed quite a bit of work due to the changing weather conditions throughout the day and my casual attitude to it all , "she'll be right, I'll fix it all in pp."

Nice shooting. The Box Kite looks a little like a Wright Flyer with ailerons.

thank you for your comments, seen in person the workmanship in this reconstruction is amazing, I would have liked to get some shots of it in flight
cheers

Thanks for sharing! A lot of airshows here have really declined in variety over the past decade.

Great shots there. I wish the RAAF would put on a similar show here at Williamtown.
