Impertinence Pays Shooting an Indian Darter in Flight
Lens: 55-300 Camera: K-30 Photo Location: Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Bharatpur ISO: 1000 Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F8

It looked near impossible because of the foreground foliage, but I desperately wanted to shoot the Indian Darter in flight. Continuous shooting was ruled out to preclude focus straying. I had to be manual, through gaps in the foliage.

The impertinence paid off... well almost... depending on how charitable you are about the blurred foreground branches that partly obscure the stretched neck and beak of the bird.

Looks to have been an almost impossible shot. Good job given the circumstances.
