Norway! Where Cadillacs go to die.
Lens: 02 Camera: Q7 Photo Location: Telemark, Norway ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F3.5

There is a large American car culture in some parts of my country, mainly inland in the valleys of southern Norway, and along the Swedish border. We import wrecked cars as cheap fix-up objects. Most of them ends up like this one when there is noting more to do with them, or when someone has taken on too much work. Image is flipped. Just a thing I do from time to time

Too bad. Those old Caddies were great cars and with their 400 + cubic inch V8's had oodles of torque.

Even in this state it has a "look" to it.
Shame it isn't finished.
I like the B&W look...

I know the owner. He gave up on her two years ago. He had most of the parts, but some kids ruined it when it was parked outside. They thought it was a wreck (which it actually was) and had some more "fun" with it. Now all the spare parts lie in the back, and it's towed into the woods and forgotten. I think he hopes someone steals it

A cool B&W shot, for sure. Every time I see an old hulk like this, I wonder about the day it was brought home new and who the new owners were.

Not a cheap hobby that one, getting all the parts in and not finishing the project.

It is....but having been there...done that...I can understand the owner's rationale.

Sometimes as you get into a vehicle restoration, you may realize it's too far gone due to extensive rust, overwhelming mechanical woes, parts that are either too difficult to find or cost more than your budget .

Or you find that the restoration is beyond your body shop skills or mechanical prowess.

There can be a lot of reasons. Sometimes what originally seemed like a good idea at the time...maybe wasn't. This is my voice of experience. As I said at the outset...been there.

Aye and all this was shipped over to Norway at some cost no doubt too.
