A bird feeder in Anytown, USA. It could be in your backyard! Plundered and pillaged beyond all recognition.

We went through old case files and dug out a list of usual suspects, and brought them in for questioning.

"I didn't see nuttin'! I swear! Word on the street is some big rat with hands did it...hands, I tell ya!"

He denies involvement every time, but today we believed him...I don't know why.

We set up a surveillance operation, and waited...and waited. Around 11 PM we heard some commotion outside...I grabbed the camera, powered up my Metz 48....

As he disappeared over the edge, I thought of the squirrel's words..."like a big rat with hands...hands, I tell ya!"

There were actually two of them by the feeder, but one decided to screw out as soon as he saw my flashlight. The other one was decidedly less skittish.
