nice photos! more complete than most ruins that i saw in Athens, and looks very unrestored (unlike the Acropolis)
must be great to use the FA31 at it's intended focal length

when i watch the history channel (which i do often) i am looking at all of the science and the architecture.

but when i checked out these shots, i was imagining what drama could have unfolded around these stones.

Thanks,

Ruins in Greece are a big sad story... Sometimes I think they should belong to UK... That way at least they would have the best treatment...

FA31 never gets off my film camera

Stunning captures. The B/W really portrays the drama of the images. Now I have another place on my must go before I die list. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Diane,

Indeed that place is amazing. In fact the setting is so amazing that I could not possibly capture it with my camera. It also has one of the greatest sunrises that worth the trouble to visit the temple....

All wonderful shots, I agree that B&W is perfect for this subject matter. The silhouettes are really neat, very compelling.
