Sulfur Crest's evening visit
Lens: DA*300 f4 Camera: K5IIS Photo Location: Western Australia ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F6.7

Evening is not a normal stopping time for the Big Boys they normally come in the morning. One keeps watch while the other looks at what's on offer he didn't care for what was left so flew back up to the big gum tree and screeched until someone came out to fill the feeder for them.

these are such great shots, would love to view in person. Love that last one, looks like there is some type of communication going on with you. If OK, would like to send these to one of my granddaughters who loves birds, thanks.

Amazing photos! Seriously good. Screeching, eh?! Our birds just stare in the window trying to look starved and pathetic. The first and last image are especially special!

Very cool looking bird.... it looks very thoughtful....
It reminds me of one of my favourite quotes...
"Animal researchers have proven that many animals are capable of communication, and that for the most part, they don't have much to say."
I don't know why I think that's funny, but I do.

Gorgeous birds. I can almost hear the last one screeching "Yo, garçon, get the lead out, this plate is empty!"

Thanks Tess, Screeching loud, wake you up in the morning louder than the alarm clock loud if they where on the night stand you would probably suffer hearing damage.

I would say for the most part they are right but there is always an exception. We have had birds come in and talk their heads off, I had know idea what they where saying but it went on and on for an hour or more.
Could have been news readers.
