Scary Macro Bee Afraid
Lens: Pentax DA 1:2.8 macro Camera: Pentax K3 Photo Location: front yard ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F5.6

Was happy I didn't accidentally disturb this when I walked out to the front yard, yikes! Had the lens inches away being as quiet as possible.

Nice capture, there must have been something there to attract so many Bees to the one spot.

Bees gone mad and hummingbirds gone sad. I have never seen that many on a hummingbird feeder at one time. Great catch and glad you didn't get stung.

Being you live in Texas, there is no way of knowing if these are the Africanized Killer Bees or just plain honeybees. The fact you are still alive suggest these are the much calmer European Honeybees. Which would be a very good thing since they have been hit hard by mites and other calamities the past 20 years. Great photo!
