Timelapse Video Around My Area
Camera: K3 and K5-II Photo Location: Long Island, NY
Posted By: DRabbit, 03-26-2014, 09:48 AM

Despite all the problems I've had with the K3, as some of you know I've shot a LOT of time-lapse the last few months. I've been doing it professionally, but I've also been testing and shooting and learning for my own personal use.

Here's a video showing some of the time-lapse clips I've shot over the last several months… All were shot with the K3 or the K5-II.

Would love to hear what you think…

I like it! Great job.

Care to share any hints and tips? I've been meaning to try this with my K3.

Thanks for sharing

Sure… the biggest tip is to lock everything down… exposure and white balance most importantly! Make sure the custom setting on the camera for White Balance is set to "Fixed". Shoot wide-open when possible (shooting stopped down at all can introduce an undesirable flicker). Also, you don't need to shoot at JPEG Large. Medium or Small are usually way more than enough.

Any questions, feel free to ask

Thanks, I'm going to try my hand at this over the weekend.

Nice job but I have to admit those boats bobbing around brought on a bout of seasickness.
