Spent a week in Japan last month. Brought my GR and a loaner K-3, along with some Limiteds.

Yeah, I was in Japan for the CP+ camera show (basically the only time I get to go there). Nara was pretty quiet, from what I can tell. Very pleasant, but just about 10F too cool for my tastes.

Half your luck - it was cold when I was there, but not cold enough for snow. That would have been preferable to rain, but at least I got that nice increase in contrast that rain brings.

PS You have some really fun things you spotted - like the "tiny tits" t-shirt and the temple message from a guy wishing for Miyuki to be his girlfriend. You've made me realise that I need to be more observant when I'm there!

Some superb shot, it really looks like a fascinating country. It is strange that the symphony hall has this written in English but not Japanese.

Maybe you prefer: ザ・シンフォニーホール? That's the same thing written in katakana, which they use on their website. If I romanise it; za shinfoniihooru. It's a place for western classical music, so I guess it makes sense that the name is in English (although Italian, German or French might be better!).
