Chicago Airport...
Posted By: clarenceclose, 01-23-2007, 10:55 PM

Structure of steel and play of light.
Tough place to shoot correctly at ISO 64.
Taken with Optio 550 P&S
Perhaps one of my favorite airport tunnels.
Makes me think I am on the inside of an old jukebox.
C&C appreciated

O' Hare or Midway?

I'm guessing O' Hare, looks more modern.

Hi!

Good work (2,3)
In the first photo the space a little is not modified...

The best regards!

That, IMO, is the best walk of any terminal I've been in. Wish I could have taken that walk back in the 60's.

regards,

Excellent shots, Clarence. Great patterns and you framed all of them perfectly!

Ah, yes. I've run through that tunnel many a time. That's a great capture
of a surreal location.

Three excellent images there Clarence...

....very nice indeed, with great balance, harmonious elements & colour.
If they were mine I would have posted them a little larger.

My only gripe is the width & tone of the frame in the 1st shot. IMO it is too wide for the size of the image & the tone is too close to the image content.
If I may suggest trying a narrow white border of about 3-6 pixels framed with a 1-2 pixel black border.

Thanks & cheers
Stomie

I struggle with this shot because I wanted to use the same elements as in the photo, color/structure, to add emphasis to the internal, gray hard regular intervals. I can see how your approach would put more focus on the internals of the shot and less on the edges. Will consider this for future works. Thanks.

I like #1 and #3 the best. Like Stomie, I would have preferred a different border for #1, but I would probably just use a white one. Must be from my old b&w 8x10 days.

Hi Clarence,

Hey, I'm checkin' in here from time to time, this time to find these great pictures. I like them all but my favourite is of course the top left jukebox picture. Lol - I understand exactly what you mean by that.
As you allready can guess the accentuated frame is not in my taste (but much closer this time ) but I won't mention that more than... well, like this.

Thank you for the show!
