I think this is a wonderful composition and I really dig the mood. I often go for B&W in a photo such as this one, but here I like the subtle green that emerges from the gloom.

Well, first off, you have a very clean, balanced composition and framing, there's a good 'mood' to the photo. I much prefer the B + W version, the green grass in the color version is too distracting for me.
Second, something's missing. Overall it's a good fog-and-landscape scene and (as mentioned) well-composed and exposed. But, that's it.
There's no central interest, my eye wanders around...yes, it's pleasing but not a knock-out. I could imagine a shadowy human figure, a dog, a horse, anything to relieve or break the pattern and visual stillness. Some 'Life' for lack of a better expression.
JMO, others may appreciate it as it is!
