Spring Car Show; Fun For All ages!

Calling All Gearheads!
Here's a series from my first Classic Car Show of the season. A small service station in South metro Denver had a show Saturday, in a nearly-all residential neighborhood, with help from the RattleTraps Car Club (black T-shirts). I arrived a bit early and got some snaps of the setup and first entries.
Oh, sure, the BRAPP! Brap, brap sounds good to us, but what if you lived there? No real street racing, but lots of revving and eventually lots of families, cooking, streets blocked and clogged. Fun for nearly everyone. Including me!
(1) An old Bel Air stalled at the pump. Gotta get the rusty Chevy outa here!
(2) OK, let's move it.
(3) Now, the main lot is clear. The kids found a great way to use the open space!
(4) But now the lot is filling up, a couple of Ponycars pull in.
(5) And over at the 2nd lot across the street, full up with lots of cool old rides.
They also had a grill with burgers and dogs, a Rockabilly/Oldies band, T-shirts, car memorabilia and decals for sale.
Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed it!
Ron

Ron, cool rod shots, but I think the best is the kids in the wagon, look at those expressions. Great capture.

Thanks!

Hi Bob, thanks for the kind comments. Yes, that photo of the kids gives me a chuckle too...one boy looks scared silly and the other one wants to go faster. I didn't know what I'd caught until I saw it on the monitor at home. The DA 50mm kept up pretty well tracking, too.
I guess all that hot rod stuff is rubbing off on the kids!

Great stuff, Ron! And like Bob - I love the shot of the kids. It's that time of year again, when car shows begin to pop up along with associated photo opportunities.

More Hot Rods!

Hi, Jer, thanks for the comments, yes, it's the car show time of year again and I can't wait! I didn't go as often last summer and really missed it. But you and many others kept my interest up in 'Gearheads' and I'm grateful.
That photo of the kids was done in a burst of six, one keeper. The DA Fifty A/F kept up, but the comp, expressions or positioning was only good on this one. It's more of a 'grab' shot or candid, not the usual car show mode. Those, I posted you-know-where.

Hello Wired, glad you liked these, the early '50's Chevy Bel Air is a beautiful design, but this copy needs lots of work and TLC. They pushed it to the back with a few other bench-warmers and the parts-car bunch. That's a real 'Project' car, if anyone's interested.
I've posted another angle of the Chev for you, here.
