Build nice or not, I would rather spend a nigh inside in that than out on tundra with no cover.
It can be 40F degrees warmer inside than out, just with the body heat of two or three people. A semi -permanent winter house might have had a fairly long tunnel entrance with one or two min-domes for storage or as a 'dressing' room. As well, in a family grouping, two or three igluviaq might have been attached by tunnels to a larger unit, a 'common-room' if you like.
