No Roses Here
Photo Location: Ehrenberg, AZ
Posted By: Bob Harris, 04-07-2014, 08:19 PM

We left the Coachella Valley of California and pulled into an RV park on the Colorado River. I took the camera around the grounds of the park and no roses were found but I did find a couple of new flowers in bloom. "Yellow Flowers" is the name I call them as I don't know what else to call them. In this part of Arizona temps often reach near 120f, harsh temps for the delicate roses I would think.

Yellow works. Love the black back ground, then yellow on black always works.

Nice job, buddy - another vote for the black background.

I see you are using the same botanical classifications that I employ: yellow flower, red flower, big flower, little flower . . . . . . . .

thanks Jer, I know my cacti pretty well but there are so many flowers, I think like you that color is the best name for them.

you've sure had some nasty weather back east this year, of course some people just go to Florida to escape is what I heard.

I don't know your western flowers at all, but the first looks a little like our Golden Ragwort, and the second something like Downy False Foxglove.

In any case, some very fine rich yellow photos!

Those are super!
You left the Coachella just in time. An army of musicians and kids is about to descend on it.

We saw it was scheduled and our campground is booked for the week, could be pretty hot for a lot of people Jerry.
