Sports Rally de Portugal 2014

Rally de Portugal 2014 · **1 Like**

First rally I covered with my new Pentax K-50 .. never tried it in the field..never owned a Pentax.. so hopefully it was a good start. Hope to read your opinions....thankx... further more photos will be posted....

There's nothing wrong with those shots, looks like you nailed focus and have plenty DOF for good views.

Great start with these shots! One suggestion is to scout the stages to find the "air" shots, the muck areas, the crowd responses in critical turns, etc. The other is remember verticality. Low with car nose up showing the intricacy of the underbody, nose down impact with shock compression, dirt, mud and body part flexion or energy dispersion is another. Finally, don't hesitate to go after images of the activities in the car as driver/co-driver reactions can be priceless if
caught through windshield. Good Luck and keep it up.

Great shots, I notice on the first few shots you were using an exposure bias of 2.00, what prompted that setting?
