Birds of the Day Pt.1... Grackles and Redwing Blackbirds

A freak snow storm meant lots of hungry birds turned up at our door..some we don't usually see..

like Grackles and redwing blackbirds...

Nice shots - good saturation and nicely crisp. I'm partial to redwing blackbirds, so my favorite is that second, but (s)he does look cold!

I saw your other shots and now I see these. You've been really busy today! Love the last one - he looks as though he is absolutely through with winter!

It's going up to 18 on the weekend... but it's -12 right now, so, yes, it's taking it's time.

I was determined to get one of every bird at the feeder. The only ones I missed were the big Crows and Ravens. If those guys see even the smallest movement, they're gone before you blink. It's really hard to get a camera pointed at them. I try to move slow , but not slow enough so far.
