Nice shots! Love the perspective. The jet trails and clouds in the background add very nicely to the subjects in all of the shots.

The perspective on these is fantastic. They have a tulip festival close to where I live, and we went this past weekend. Such a target-rich environment, that even newbies like myself are able to come up with decent results. My wife is looking at these, and wants to know why mine don't look as great as these -- lol

I was wondering the same thing myself. They were all too short/densely clustered at the festival I mentioned in my previous post.

Yes, literally lay down so you don't get caught in the frame and put camera pretty much on the ground pointed up. It gets everything in though so if there is a building, person, tree, anything close by its in the frame so its retake retake and then retake !

I take it you put the camera on the ground for some of them ?

Very nicely done. I've been looking at ultra-wides with closeups of this sort in mind and you're definitely making a case for that sigma- it can certainly deliver in the right hands.

ps. your flickr and 500px links in your sig both have typos, but you're still findable.

Reminds me of that movie about the war pilot Douglas Bader........................Reach for the skies. Great shots BTW
