The landscape here in constantly changing and evolving.. I take the same picture every year, but each year they are different, and I'm not bored with them, because they are different from what I was hooting 3 months ago. What I think of as a "harsh" landscape is a flat, landscape without hills or running water, without waterfalls , big and small, where I walk out the door an nothing inspires me, and probably nothing will ever inspire me.. now that's harsh... not where I live.

Fair enough, I have always enjoyed your photography and landscapes, was more referring to your long winters as harsh. If you have no shelter or food your land is very harsh in winter.

Thanks Jer, you can usually get something from a walk in the back woods if you keep your eyes open.

It's raining right now Charlie, but starting at 2 o'clock today we're supposed to be in for 2 weeks of glorious weather.... it can't come soon enough. And with it being rainy today, maybe we'll actually have sunset worth photographing.
