Couple of test shots
Lens: Pentax 100mm f4 Macro Camera: K5 Photo Location: Mitchell Co. Ga.

I bought a used K5 a few days ago. The weather has been rain and clouds the last couple of days, but I did get out a while this morning to try it out with a couple of flower macros. Looks like it will be a keeper.

Wonderful photos.

I like the second much more than the first. I enjoy the fact you can see the light reflecting off of the moisture on the flower.

you've always produced fine images Dennis, it will be interesting to see if you notice a difference in the new camera.

Dennis. Is the red in the middle of the 2nd shot hummingbird nectar or is it natural? --charliezap

That is natural color. Those are miniature marigolds, really small flowers about the size of a quarter. I had not noticed the red coloring until I took the shot. I have tried the nectar trick to attract bees though. Insects are few and far between this Spring, hoping they show up later as I have tomato plants that are starting to bloom and will need some bees to help pollinate them.

Thanks Bob. I think I'm going to like the K5 better than the K7. I've already put the K7 up for sale in the marketplace.
