One Smokin' Hot Shoot/Model
Posted By: codiac2600, 04-22-2008, 09:32 PM

I'm exhausted, sweaty and need to brush my teeth, but I got the pics done!

I got an invite to shoot with Judy again, which I did a Pinup shoot ages ago when I first began model photography last fall.

Here is a sample of our Smokin' Hot Series. You can check out the rest here: Photography 2.0 - Uconventional - Unrestriced - Unreal- powered by SmugMug

They will be slowly uploading all night so check back often to see new pics!

Here Stu, just for you then. Don't tell anyone

Chris,

Ahhhh. You have come so far in such a short period of time. Your best imaging to date. Image 1 is nicely framed and exposed. Number 3 is just an absolute pleasure to view.

I'm impressed!

Stephen

Thank you Stephen, I'm glad you're enjoying this series and I'll have lots more for everyone to enjoy soon enough. I believe I'm getting there and hopefully take myself to the next level in a year or so thanks to everyones support and help. Need to buy that studio space this fall...

Count me in on that 3rd image. She's beautiful and you did a perfect job of capturing her. You seem to work well together.

The 2 smoking shots are excellent as well and can easily stand on their own. What I'm most impressed with is the lighting. Capturing smoke is not easy since it's so transparent. For the style of shoot, you did a great job.

Excellent stuff Chris.

Thanks Peter

I tried to light it a little differently than I'm typically used to. Shot #3 consisted of 5 lights and it wasn't easy getting them to all do what I wanted, but it worked out brilliantly in the end. The smoking shots worked off the bat with little light manipulation after my lighting diagram was implemented. It's a basic light at every corner shot so no matter where the smoke goes I'll get it and no direct light on the model, just feathered light from the edges of the umbrellas.

Lol, I'm having the same problem with this shoot. I've been trying to slim down how many photos end up in a gallery to leave only the better of the shots. It ain't working in this shoot at all. I'm not even done going through all the images on my computer lol.

Good work. I love the depth and richness of the colors- that dark saturation, "oil paint" effect.

Now Chris, What are you doing corrupting that pretty young thing with cigarettes and cigars. Don't you know how dangerous those are?

Seriously, very nice set. good lighting, and you have gotten very good with your posing skills. I hope you don't mind, but I may borrow some of those poses.
