Thanks Lars, Yep, looks a "bit nippy" to me. Tho I can say I wish it woud snow here, I'm gettting tired of brown and grey, and grey and brown, and brownish grey, and greyish brown.

Dang, you have sunlight in Stockholm this time of year! You must have gone out for a photo shoot at noon.
I like your shots. Would like it even more if I were there taking them. But not until summer.

Thanks all for looking

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment - I would have posted a few more but PBase is currently down, so even the previously posted images don't appear right now...

Best regards,
Lars

When looking at #1, my first thought was you were in the USA. There is a Chevrolet Van with a US license plate! Then I saw the speed limit sign! Very interesting. I'm glad you took the time to share views of your home town with us. Very nice photos.

Ha! I hadn't caught that! But you are right (unless there are European tags that look exactly like NY tags) There is also what looks like a UPS truck further up on the right! Are you sure this isn't St. Paul MN?

It's Stockholm alright ;)

Many American car models have this US looking license plate to better fit the design of the car. However, the plate is Swedish - three letters to the left, tax seal in the middle, and three number to the right.

Lars

Hej Lars

A great series of photos from a beautiful city. I love the light you get in the winter when the sun don't rice that high.
On the other hand I must say I prefere the 25 degres we have down here at the moment.

Cheers

I love your pics! What camera and lens did you use in these shots? Very very nice, I hope to take pics like that soon. It made me want to go to Sweden!

Equipment

Thanks again for all the positive feedback.

Equipment used: K10D and DA21 + DA70. All shot in RAW (DNG). Post processed in Photoshop Elements 5.0.

About half of the images have been color adjusted; I tones down the red/orange cast that became a little too exagerated compared to what the scenes looked like to my eyes. A few were slightly rotated and cropped. Finally reduced in size (max width = 900, max height = 700) and sharpened.

If you want to know exactly which lens was used and full EXIF data for a particular shot, please see the info benieth each images in the PBase gallery:

And feel welcome to visdit Sweden anytime. It's no problem to fill 5 x 2GB SD cards by just walking around.

Best regards,
Lars
