First DSLR - Requisite Cat photos
Lens: SMC Pentax-DA 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC WR Camera: Pentax K-50 Photo Location: Kansas

Finally got my first DSLR. A Red K-50 with the DA 18-135mm lens and the 35mm F2.4. These are taken with the 18-135mm. Anyway I thought
I would post a couple of pics. I look forward to taking pics and learning. I am still on the Auto modes on the K-50. its a fun camera.
I thought I would start out by posting the requisite cat photos.

Congrats and have fun! Some good ones in there got some evil eyes in the second one.

Welcome to the forums. I think my first shots were the Cats too

Try the same shots with the 35mm I think you'll be pleased. Go Av mode and leave everything else auto, it's only one dial to worry about. Great thing about digital is nothing is wasted in experimenting other than some time with your pets

Thanks, Yeah I think the flash lit his eyes up.

Thanks, That sounds like a good suggestion. That would be like my Om-2 with the 50mm normal lens. The grey haired one Frank is a willing subject.
