Alien Egg Sacks and Scribes on the Beach.
Lens: Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 Camera: K5IIs Photo Location: Allenhurst Beach, NJ ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/90s Aperture: F5

Some pictures from the beach this past Saturday.
First picture is a self portrait in the reflection of an alien egg sack.
The second two are the egg sack in different perspectives. As a kid I thought these things could move and it freaked me out.
Actually I believe this was a Skate egg sack, but they are pretty alien looking.
The last two are some feathers writing on the beach.

Thanks Jim, there are so many strange looking things on the beach. These sacks look strange when dried, when fresh they are absolutely freaky. I hope a full size skate washes up this year, would like to get a good picture of one of those, they look even more alien then their egg casings.

Thanks Q4ADV, the beach usually offers great light and interesting subjects.

Yeah, a very odd, alien object indeed. Nicely captured, and the feather with DoF just right works great, too

That's a shark egg, if I'm not mistaken. Well captured.

Thank you Na, I love taking feathers on the beach.

It could be a shark egg, I never realized how similar the two egg sacks are. Saw a picture where someone held one up to the light, will have to try that next time.

Thanks,
Reed
