Some recent stuff ran in the paper
Posted By: Tyler, 04-24-2008, 05:51 PM

Just a few shots recently ran in the paper. I don't feel like digging up all the ones that ran in the last couple issues. To many.

This one ran fairly big last issue. Flare wasn't noticeable when ran in b/w even large. If I get time, I'll add the caption I used for this picture and the other.

Used my K100D and Sigma 70-200 2.8 for these

The pitcher is an awesome picture; the concentration on his face is priceless!

Thanks for sharing.

Great shots, they definitely deserve to be in the paper, heck our paper needs something this good in it. Ugh, our paper sucks... wanna move and shot for it?

Haha thanks Chris. The first one hear I actually submitted into the NCSMA contest with the rest of my portfolio just a few days ago. All these shots are in high school paper, but still. Our school always wins best in state with our paper and have won several national awards. Not to sound cocky, but I should have no problem winning both sports and news/features photography. You should see the other stuff!

Great pair of shots and I agree the shot of the pitcher is excellent. Captured at the perfect moment. Great colour and sharpness. Good luck in the awards. Could go along way toward a career.

They look very sharp and good. I wish I can take a pic like that.

Any post processing done on them?

Bit of levels and color balance. Slight USM before resize. Thats it though.
