Some of my Better Shots
Posted By: Adam, 04-24-2008, 09:54 PM

I've recently enjoyed going on two great photo shoots here in Arizona- one to our local zoo and botanical garden, and one to the colorful visitor's center in Tucson.

Below are links to the full galleries if you'd like to see more photos in addition to the ones in this thread.

Here are some of my favorites from my trip to the zoo! Comments and critique are welcome:

And a few from Tucson: I wish I'd gotten a bit less fringing on the last one!

Nice shots, esp. the primates. I was minutes from the zoo when I was in AZ earlier this month but couldnt fit it into my schedule, next time for sure.

I am rather suprised that you don't feel that the DA*50-135mm doesn't cut the mustard. Granted I don't have any FA* primes to compare it to, but it is tied as my #1 lens with the DA35LTD at the moment.

Thanks for all the comments, guys! I'm glad to see that many of you see the artistic aspect/purpose of some of these shots

The shot of the Orangutan is fantastic Mo !!! They are such interesting animals. It is a shame that us humans are eventually going to kill off Orangs and Gorillas, it makes me sick to my stomach to even think about it. And even sicker that nothing is really being done about it.

Well done Adam - the zoo shots are great. The orangutansand the second butterfly shot are my favorite zoo shots (that butterfly has been in some battles). I also like the tri-colored roof. Reminds me of parts of Nova Scotia where there are some very colorful houses.

Wow, you have been busy. The colour is just amazing. Jealous of Fa* 400mm there. Looks like a winner all around
