I am trying to decide on a photo to try to put into the k-3 contest.. I have been vocal about feeling clueless about knowing what to choose... So I am thinking maybe I should resist my tendency to over-analyze and just go with one of these DA15 shots from a recent trip to Northern Cal...

Or am I better off with something like this recent sunrise shot that got explored? (DA10-17 fisheye... at 10mm)

I also have this one, that somebody I respect from our board gave me some really high praise for last year saying it was one of the best flower shots he'd ever seen (although this is a re-edited version)... (FA50@f1.4 focus merged)

Or should I keep looking? I would be very appreciative of any brutal honesty if you think I could or should do something to one of the above shots to improve it too... Thanks

I think a lot of us have problems with deciding which photo to submit for a contest. It is difficult to judge your own work, and even more difficult to know what the viewers will respond to.
Either way, these photos are stunning. I especially like the final one, of the white flower and bokeh. But I cannot guarantee you that it will make the most impact, I just like flower and low contrast photos and I think that one is really beautifully composed and exposed.

All of these pics are terrific. For me, it would be between the first and second ones, but that's as close as it gets . . . .

Yep they are all good shots I am a fisheye fan so that would be my choice - everyone will have their own favorite so go with what you like.

All are terrific, I'd be hard pressed to choose between #1 and #4.

For anybody who might still stop by this thread... Do you think there'd be any benefit if I were to remove the power pole and lines to the right of the barn in #1?
