Carpet Rose
Lens: Sigma 17-70 Camera: K30 ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/45s Aperture: F8

A Carpet Rose from the garden, I've taken many shots of these flowers, this one kinda comes close to capturering both colour & detail , for some reason I struggle to get both the correct colour & good detail at the same time, darn Reds

You did great. Well done. I can never get my red knock out roses to come out right. I just gave up.

thanks for the comments guys, appreciated. ..... the trouble with this flower is that the colour changes from a red to a crimson red at the outside of the petal, somehow whenever I get that colour transition right I loose the detail in the vein structure of the petal and if I get the detail, the colour transition is not there, yet the eye sees it all !
