They're back like clockwork.I'm amazed.

The hummingbirds must make reservations in advance. This is the 3rd year in a row that they have showed up within one day of May 6th. The first shot I got late in the day through the front door glass. The other is a picture from last year.Hopefully they won't fail to allow me some keepers this year.--charliezap

Ours are back, but a little late (though I don't keep very close track).

This year I'm setting up the big tripod and a remote and maybe I'll get shots to rival these.

Very nice images Charlie, I have never been able to attract them into our back yard but the first 2 weeks in June we'll be in Waterton Lakes National Park and there are many of them. Just have to find them and make them sit still for a few seconds. Thanks for posting these.

Nice ones Charlie. Hummers are gone from here now, looks like they moved on your way.

These little guys are so friendly Terry that I've taken shots hand held with flash from less than 2ft away.--charliezap

Terrific images, Cap'n. Hummers are transients here, I haven't seen one this year. They do pass through on their way to your yard!

Thanks all.
They have arrived but they don't frequent the feeder that often during the day yet.I wonder if they are busy nest building and staking out their turf.--charliezap

Long as they cooperate I should have some decent shots throughout the Summer.--capn zap

Very nice shots. The first hummingbirds of the year for me were seen inside a hardware store. Yep, there were two, trying to drink nectar out of some yellow-colored packages on the top shelf. The employees were looking for nets or some way of capturing them to set them free. Don't know how it turned out.
