that's what we called them when I was a kid. There have been several great photos of dandelions over the last months, so I went out looking for an example to photograph. I did find this one which half the seeds had already blown away in the wind, but it was interesting to view and I took a few photos and this was the best of the batch.

You're right Charlie, it does and almost like some thing that lives in the water I thought.
