The colours are, indeed, very nice, and the composition works well. Perhaps you could explain for us non acronym speakers what the OBX is.

Oh sorry, its the OUTERBANKS of North Carolina, Corolla,Duck, Kitty Hawk, Nags Head. Manteo, Cape Hatteras...just a popular acronym everyone uses in this area...

Yeah i am very new to using Manual focus and understanding F stops, DOF, Aperture, had the K10d since new but never really experimented with it . . i know its been surpassed now by newer tech. K50, K5, K3 but it still puts out some nice pics i like it..plan on getting a newer body soon but not sure it will be the K3 though it will be pentax..finding this long exposure to be very fun..only tried it once.

whereabouts was it? we have a family vacation planned for there in august. we're renting a house near kitty hawk for a week.

Oh it was on the sound side up in corolla..but it it is so many places to watch the Sun rise ad set with ocean on one side and sound on the other..very picturesque...you will have a ball. i live about 35 minutes from there in Camden County N.C.
