Nice work, great composition and I like the silhouette look. Did you stay longer for some blue hour and/or night tripod shots?

It's been way to long since I've been to the Island, thanks for posting.

@Pentaxpixie: Unfortunately, no. The girlfriend was too cold. This is actually a composite shot of, I think, two or three images. I did an entire series of 500 shots shortly before this to capture some cloud movements. I had hoped the clouds would stick around for this shot, but they moved on.

@normhead: I want to go back. Actually, I liked Toronto enough that I wish I could find an excuse for my company to send me there for three months. I'd like to get to know the city a bit.

I love the sunset color gradation from orange to purple. Really beautiful.

Wonderful skyline - I haven't been to Toronto in years, but it really presents a beautiful silhouette.

K David,

I have taken many pictures of our skyline but none are as beautiful as yours.

@Susan, Thank you. That was the actual color, but the buildings were largely silhouetted on the composited image (I did a composite to capture varied lighting and also to see how the water was moving.) So I added a gradation layer to match that brought out some of the color highlights in the buildings.

@Sailor, my one day in the city makes me want to go back and see if I could live there. I really enjoyed Toronto.

@Heinrich, thank you. I, too, won't forget Toronto any time soon.

@ Mickey, thank you, too. I posted this to the Reddit thread for Toronto and it was hammered, so I was a bit worried about how well it had turned out.

Very nice work indeed. This is very similar to the view we had at our wedding ceremony 17 years ago on Algonquin Island.
