The rules are simple, but be sure to read them!
Rules
WSSA

Flickr

Submit only one entry photo. This will be the one for request for
Membership into the WSSA. After approval, you will be issued a Member
Number and can come back into this thread and post as many as you
desire......as long as your post is signed by your Member Name/ Number.
Example
Rupert #125 PX
( The PX denotes I am a Pentax shooter) If you are not shooting with a
Pentax, you are still welcome but will be given a "PF" to denote you are
a Pentax Forum Member with another brand of camera.

I am going to be working four different Frenzies at four different
sites....so if I appear slow, try to have a little patience, I will do
my best to keep up with Member Numbers etc!

Any questions you have, post them in this thread so all can see and
benefit from the answer.

Late breaking news! Otis is so certain that we will not get 50
new posters here on the Pentax Forums WSSA Frenzy that he has bet an
additional $50. we won't make it! That ups the amount that can be
donated to the site to $150.!!!
You all know Otis is always right...how many times have we heard it
here? For once, can we just prove Otis is sometimes wrong! Post
those shots, encourage others to do the same. All we need is 50 shooters
out of the thousands here!

Best Regards ....and most of all have fun!
Rupert #125PX

Link to where all the new member shots will be posted in the group pool with your number and posting name.

Welcome new WSSA Members, show your numbers proudly! Feel free to post additional shots...just sign with your Member number!

Boriscleto----WSSA # 482PX Nice shooting from you guys!
Ducatigaz----WSSA # 483PX

All the additional shots you guys are posting are called "Dues"...we will discuss dues later, but they are greatly appreciated! Keeping this thread at the top is critical the next two days if we want to reach our goal of 50 new members to the WSSA here at Pentax Forums....and get that cash out of Otis' pocket!

BestRegards!
Rupert #125PX--- Proud of you guys and girls! Squirrels in the Woods of Otis are singing praises for your efforts! Not a pretty sound, really, but their little hearts are in the right place!

Thanks, Rod. I noticed the ears were smaller than the squirrels in the Crittenden Locks pix. I have some pix of other furry little things out on a grass files, also taken at Grand Coulee, I might post one of those, too.

I suppose Rupert won't allow my pix of Squirrel helicopters!

A repost from earlier, but I wanted to support the cause. Common central Ohio squirrel nibbling on some early spring buds. WSSA all the way!

I'm off to get some sleep I missed last night, I'll be back in the morning for any new entries....hope we get plenty!
Great Frenzy so far, you guys are the best!
Best Regards!

OK. Now for the whole story of the squirrel stealing from the bear. Not far from here is an animal sanctuary where animals too large or wild to be pets and for various reasons can't be returned to the wild are given a home. At feeding time the black bear is lured into and shut in a pen attached to the main enclosure while the keeper hides seeds, nuts, fruits and veggies so that the bear has to expend a little effort to find the goodies. Once the food is in place, the keeper leaves the enclosure and opens the door between pen and enclosure so that the bear can return to the main enclosure. The squirrels have learned that they have a 60-90 second window between the keeper leaving and the bear arriving. The antelope squirrel being smaller, just hoovers up seeds and berries before the bear gets there.

The ground squirrel goes for the big score and tries to drag off the entire ear of corn. The ground squirrel tried to take a shortcut past a large basin that is filled with water for the bear to play in. Oops!

The poor squirrel was like the rodent in the Ice Age movies that is trying to get the acorn. He was frantic trying to get that ear of corn out of the basin before the bear arrived. The bear had corn on the cob for lunch. But not squirrel.
